A Tampermonkey/Greasemonkey userscript that enhances 8chan-style boards by allowing users to collapse and nest quote links, improving readability and making thread navigation more intuitive.

📌 Features

  • Collapsible Quote Chains
    Click any quote link (>>123456) or backlink to nest and display the quoted post inside the current one.

  • Auto-Restore System
    When a quoted post is collapsed and all reference links are closed, the original post is automatically restored to its original position.

  • Hierarchy Indentation
    Nested quotes appear with visual indentation and borders to clearly represent reply chains.

  • Restore Button for Moved Posts
    A "Restore" link appears where the post was moved from, letting users manually return it to its original place.

  • Toggle Styling
    Clicked quote links and backlinks highlight with a distinct color to indicate toggled state.

  • Lightweight Cloning
    If a post is already moved, additional references clone it rather than moving the post again.

  • Auto-cleaning Backlink URLs
    Strips query strings from backlink hrefs for consistent behavior and compatibility.

💡 Tips

  • To collapse a post: Click on the quote link again after expanding it.
  • To restore a moved post: Use the inline "Restore" button or collapse all quote links referring to it.
  • Ctrl+Click for Quick Reply: Only works if the site's QR system supports it and qr.showQr is available.
