FireFox shows a link's title as a tooltip when hovered over, but nothing if there is no title given, or just an "alt" attribute for an enclosed image. This script ensures there is a title and includes the target location in parenthesis.

Note: I'm sharing this script for the first time (I've used it for years) for the benefit of friends and fans. All the *other* "link/alt/tooltip" userscripts I've seen fail to keep up with pages that change dynamically. This one adds a listener to the document and processes it again when changes are made.
