My Prompt — Your Personal Prompt Manager
This is a userscript that enhances your interaction with various AI chat platforms. Its main function is to allow you to save, edit, manage, and reuse your favorite prompts directly within the interface of the websites you already use, eliminating the need to copy and paste them from text files or notes.
It works as a personal prompt library, streamlining your workflow and ensuring consistency in your interactions with AIs.
Main Function
The script adds a new button to the interface of the supported AI platforms. From this button, you can access a menu with the following functionalities:
- Save Prompts: Create and save new prompts with a title for easy identification.
- Access and Use: View your list of saved prompts and, with a single click, insert the full prompt text into the chat dialog box.
- Edit and Delete: Easily modify or remove prompts you no longer use.
- Import and Export: Backup your entire prompt collection to a
.json file or import an existing collection. This is perfect for sharing your prompts with others or migrating them between different browsers.
- Multi-Language Support: The interface adapts to your browser's language, with support for English, Portuguese, Spanish, and Chinese.
How to Use
Using My Prompt is quite intuitive. Follow the steps below to manage your prompts:
1. Accessing the Prompts Menu
After installing the script, navigate to one of the supported websites. You will notice a new icon, usually near the text input area. The icon is represented by three horizontal lines or a similar icon. Click this button to open the "Prompts" menu.
2. Adding a New Prompt
- In the menu, click the "Add prompt" button.
- A window (modal) will appear, requesting a "Title" and the "Prompt" text.
- Fill in both fields and click "Save".
- Your new prompt will now appear in the list.
3. Using a Saved Prompt
To use a prompt, simply open the menu and click on the title of the desired prompt. The text will be automatically pasted into the chat box, ready to be sent. The script also moves the prompt you just used to the top of the list, making it easier to access the most recent ones.
4. Editing and Deleting
Next to each prompt in the list, you will find two buttons:
- Edit: Opens the edit window so you can change the prompt's title or text.
- Delete: Permanently removes the prompt from your list (a confirmation will be requested).
5. Importing and Exporting Prompts
At the bottom of the menu, there are the "Import" and "Export" options.
- To Export, click the button and a file named
My Prompt.json (or the equivalent in your language) will be downloaded, containing all your prompts.
- To Import, click the button, select a previously exported
.json file, and the prompts contained in it will be added to your current list.
