I've never tested in Opera myself.
If the script doesn't show on the Tampermonkey drop-down, I wonder whether there is a problem matching the domain. It's just plain old https://www.google.com/ ? Does it show up on https://duckduckgo.com/ ?
Yes, doesn't work on both and doesn't appear on Tampermonkey drop-down on both
I finally got around to installing Opera. It seems to have a unique permission for whether extensions can run on search results pages. I'm attaching a screenshot of where you can find it.

I'm surprised how did i forget about it while using opera for ~10 years...
Doesn't seem to work on the last Opera (version 74.0.3911.232) (this is my first installation)
I tried disabling every other script + all extensions that could touch google (adblock included). No effect(
I also tried to play with script preferences - no use, restored them later
(also, i don't seem to be able to install old versions of the script - it ends with 404 error)
By doesn't work i mean nothing changes on google page (and tampermonkey icon doesnt show script at all)
Thought opera with its chromium will work with all scripts that chrome supports, probably not...
