Not possible without manual image editing
I guess you're right, but it's pretty easy to edit an image manually. I might sound dumb but there are many programs that offer many options to edit them. Unless if it's a PNG file, it's pretty easy to convert the image to a PNG image (ex: WebP to PNG, JPEG to PNG etc..)
This script works very well but I'd like to have more transparent images in the late 2011-early 2012 layout to get more compatibility with GPlex Dark mode, a userstyle which aims to improve dark mode on Gplex. Thank you.
