This script translates <red>, <blue>, <gold>, <green> tags into GameFAQs friendly HTML tags, and accordingly renders messages into the script-defined colors -- either red, blue, green, or gold.

  • v1.2 2017-06-10 Why did nobody tell me that GameFAQs switched over to https? Also, youtube embed is still broken, sorry! I'm so bad at coding nowadays I'm having a hard time figuring out how to fix that.
  • v1.1 2015-10-28 Knowing that Orange might one day learn how to code ... it fills you with DETERMINATION. Surprise, Question Mark, Gokigen, and Mute emotes have all been retired because nobody used them. Added in sans, Papyrus, and tobdog emotes, along with the Papyrus font because, like everyone who has played it, I have this insatiable desire to shove Undertale down everyone's throats relentlessly.
  • v1.0 2015-07-15 Finally, the main release! Added 10 Steam emoticons, and the font options STRIKE, UNDERLINE, MARQUEE, BIG, SMALL, Comic Sans MS, and DINOSAUR TAGS. More importantly, a significant amount of code was rewritten so that it is not only easier to work with, but behaves better with older computers and decreases character count in posts. Because of this, this version is NO LONGER COMPATIBLE with older versions of the script! Please update!
  • v0.971 2015-06-17 Fixed the sig/quote change page breaking.
  • v0.97 2015-06-14 It takes a man of great talent like myself to screw up a simple font change. Fixed the line breaking for contract tags.
  • v0.96 2015-06-14 Before I knew it, xFAQs and I didn't get along. This fixes the majority of issues caused running the script alongside xFAQs. Some, such as youtube embedding being broken, still exist -- please don't hesitate to inform me if you find more. A secret <contract> tag was added; there is no button for this. Some additional framework has been laid out to prepare for the upcoming 1.0 update, which will feature a myriad of new text options, as well as simplified and more up to date code + dinosaur tags!
  • v0.95 2015-05-31 The universally loved GameFAQs update actually added in a useful editing feature. Which completely broke the script. This update fixes it so that you are still able to use color tags and edit your post without breaking everything -- however, color buttons will not be visible during a post edit, so you'll need to type them manually if you want to add them in.
  • v0.91 2015-03-03 The script caused conflicts with the far better xFAQs add-on. This update addresses these issues so that the two can be simultaneously installed without a headache.
  • v0.90 2014-12-15 Added code that allowed you to edit your post without breaking literally everything. Which also means you can quote other people harmlessly as well. PROGRESS.

  • v0.8 2014-12-11 All color tags are now completely invisible to people who do not have the script -- therefore, no more italicized messages. Orange, Salmon Pink, and Mauve colors are official now, and all have their own tags and buttons that work. Tabindex has been set to -1 so you can tab past these buttons. Colors will now also render on a preview message page, and render even if you hit post instead of preview.
