Thank you for taking the time to comment, Retardoskop. Feedback is always appreciated.
The "redirect menu" you mentioned is actually a deliberate design choice to help maintain
usability across even smaller screens like those of smartphones.
The added options in the ⋮ menu are meant to be flush with the pre-existing interface,
without introducing visual clutter.

It would arguably be easy to add detailed and minute controls or floating panels, but
that kind of design tends to get in the way of the actual content. People want to watch videos,
not configure a cockpit.
As for the older extensions you referenced, many no longer work reliably across browsers
or are unmaintained by now. This userscript is meant to be small, more flexible.

If you have constructive suggestions for improving it, feel free to share.

I don't know what you're talking about, it's a userscript that works absolutely everywhere.

I've been using it for years and even help an author target classes correctly when making changes on YT.

+/- 360 lines of code.

Let's be honest, Retardoskop, you and I both know your post and response aren't trying to be constructive feedback, and neither are they really related to my script. I'm aware of the older script you're advertising here, and it sounds like you've had good experiences with it.
If it continues to serve your needs -- great, genuinely, stick with what works for you.

That said, there are a few distinctions worth pointing out that I do here that the +/- 360 lines argument just does not cover:

1. Scope & UX; The script you mention does some of the things my script does. Interaction is a tiny panel layout in the top right corner of the screen. Works great on PC, but on smartphone? My approach is different: integration into existing controls (the ⋮ menu), outsourcing of UI into its seperate logical unit (a fullscreen app to manage the settings). That design scales across devices, avoids fragmenting the layout, and remains way more usable on mobile.

2. Maintainability; My code is more modular and larger by design, building its own interface and interacting only where needed with the outside, so when something on the outside is tweaked, I don't have to play whack-a-mole and the entire script becomes broken.

3. Flexibility; Beyond blocking channels/users/shorts/ and wildcard/whitelist, my script supports one-click video-specific blocks, full regex pattern-based blocking, import and export of configurations, etc. It does a lot more than the other script. And that is fine, both scripts can coexist, good for users to have a choice, but that does not mean either of those approaches deserves “destroying the idea” the other follows. If you know what I am talking about.

So, to be clear: I’m not trying to replace what you use. Different tools exist for different priorities. If minimalism is your preference, fair enough. But calling an alternative that walks in a different direction entirely as “total trash” because it doesn’t behave identically or conveniently to you specifically is not a critique but a plain refusal. Or, to put it in your words, it is “brutal trash”.
