I think the page that you download the converted PDF from is being blocked by Cloudflare on the site that actually does the conversion (seen in line 63). I don't know if that is fixable, so for now I have made a bookmarklet to take me to a different website for downloading:
javascript:window.location="https://scribd.vdownloaders.com" + window.location.pathname;
(This works on the scribd.com/document/... page, not /embed/)

Thanks for this site! Added another button which work also with /embed/
I will leave the first one for now.
Now both options should work fine.
stuck on convert page! not worth it!
