Great script

But it doesn't always work, even with refreshing page

If i open a link to another tab, it goes back to the new version
Most of the time, it works if i click in the same tab as the research page

Only ublock origin as extension, no other script
On firefox

Just tested on Firefox using Tampermonkey, and it works fine. When I turned Ublock on, it did indeed break the Old UI feature. I'm sure you can change Ublock settings to fix this, but it's not necessarily a bug of the script. With that said, I previously was not testing with Ublock - Firefox compatibility and it will be something I will be working on for future compatibility updates. I have tested with Chrome & Safari on MacOS, as there was previously no free alternative on Mac. You can try updating to version 0.2, which hopefully helps you, but it didn't for me.

Yeah, conflict with ublock with 0.2 as well

After looking into UBlock on Firefox, and trying several extensions, I've come to the conclusion that it's simply not possible with UBlocks strict blocking, as the Revert Old Youtube Player requires access to Youtubes internal flags, which UBlock restricts. This isn't an OYTP issue but an issue with UBlock. I'm sure you can mess with UBlock settings to fix this issue, but an alternative which I have tested for you is by disabling UBlock and using this extension, which works much better/fine with OYTP on FireFox 👉 https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/adblock-for-firefox/

In the end, i disable Ublock and use "control panel for youtube" extension and use their ad block

Simply uncheck the uBlock built-in filter - "Quick Fixes" and it will fix all of your issues everyone is facing here, at least it is working fine for me now using this script and I have the old UI working also with uBlock working fine too. Even with this filter unchecked I don't seem to be experiencing anything off so far.

Now if you use theater mode in order to fix the big ass buttons YouTube changed a few months back this restores the normal sized buttons and also seems to work at least for me with this script as well!!

Okay so I just noticed when unchecking the "Quick Fixes" filter I am seeing the "Experiencing Interruptions" white banner on the bottom left so I simple re-enabled my ublock filter to hide it again. If you see this "Experiencing Interruptions" and your videos are playing fine it's basically just detecting ublock I believe. So you can add this filter to hide this banner specifically.

Fix Experiencing interruptions uBlock filter (copy / paste same thing as before):
