Automatically switches to your pre-selected resolution. Enables premium when possible. This script ensures that all YouTube videos (including Shorts) play at the user's preferred quality setting. It addresses the issue where the browser version does not reliably save your quality preference. No bloat, doesn't do anything else, just sets quality.
Summary:
This script was originally a fork of YouTube HD by adisib. However, after countless revisions and a total transition to a more modern architecture, the script no longer bears any resemblance to the original code. This version was created to fix broken functionality and provide a much more stable experience.
What has been changed:
I have fixed several long-standing bugs, including issues where Premium bitrates wouldn't apply correctly on non-English versions of YouTube. The script is now more robust and less likely to break when YouTube updates their site. My implementation is designed to be convenient and compatible with most browser and script-manager combinations.
